My written stories

M is for Maelid.

A solitary apple tree perched on a silent hill, drops of dew sparkling on leaves in the morning light. The only sound is a meadowlark’s good morning. Her song rings clear as she alights on one beckoning bough. But what’s this? The tree is not the only one beckoning; a figure sits beside the baffled bird. The maelid laughs to see the visitor and welcomes the bird as a friend.
